El Campesino: Experience Authentic Mexican Flavors in Monroeville

I came from Southern California, where you can find great Mexican food. I have been searching for a good Mexican restaurant. So far, the atmosphere is great. The decor and music make me feel I am still in Southern California. I can't judge the taste of the food yet because I have only been there once and had the lunch menu. Which was OK. I did like the beans and rice. I will definitely go there again and try more selections.

The atmosphere was wonderful. The staff were very polite and the food arrived quickly and was fresh. They had some excellent vegetarian options that were tasty and filling. The price was a bit higher but the portions were large enough to fill you. Overall, it was a good experience. I would go again.

The food here was good and the service was friendly and prompt. This place has a lot of seating available and a huge parking lot. Is it the best in Pittsburgh for this kind of food? No, it's certainly not and there is better available but this place was above average and they have a very wide variety of menu options sure to please every person at the table. We didn't order any alcoholic beverages but they had a pretty extensive list of options for people who enjoy those kinds of drinks. In terms of regular drinks they serve Pepsi products as well as orange juice and milk. I would not repeat as there is better not far away from here but honestly if your close to this place and deciding if you should go based on the reviews you will certainly not be disappointed by your experience here. I'm terms of price my family of four was 140 after taxes and tip and that was without any alcohol so if you have 4 people who get full meals with ice cream added on that's roughly what you will spend but that is pretty much the norm these days so it's right in the middle of affordability.

I 100% recommend this place. I went on a Saturday night and even though it was so busy they sat us right away. As soon as we ordered they bought out the food so quickly. Loved the food and loved the service. 10/10 perfect for families, a fun date, or even a place to hang out with friends. I will definitely be coming back.

Mexican food that was hot, fresh and made to order! Excellent and refreshing drinks and delicious desserts! Upon entry to “EL CAMPESINO” the environment is clean and welcoming. The dining area was open and plenty of seating for parties of all sizes. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything.

This is a good place to get margaritas and some carne asada!!!! The servers are very nice people

Very good Authentic Mexican food. Our waitress was awesome and on top of her game with great service. And the atmosphere is very nice to dine in. If you enjoy the Mexican Entree (as I do and I've been to Mexico multiple times) then this place is worth trying.

The food is amazing. I have tried their California burrito and it was great. Their desserts are good too. I’m not sure why the bad reviews because my experience here is great 100% of the times. (At least 6 visits)
